About All Pawsitive Pups
What it offers
All Pawsitive Pups LLC describes itself as "Training, Boarding & Daycare!" and is explicit about method on its training page: "Our chosen training methods are force free! This means we create a FUN and enriching environment for all to learn! Absolutely NO discipline is necessary when training animals." It says "All of our lessons are for adult-dogs and puppies," and the goal is stated as replacement rather than suppression: "We will teach you how to take unwanted behaviors and turn them into behaviors you enjoy! Using fun games and rewards, we get pups to stop unwanted behaviors and do amazing tricks instead!"
How classes work
Three formats are published: "Group Classes – learn with other pups in class," "Private Classes – work one on one with our trainer" and "Advanced Classes – learn awesome, advanced tricks." The mechanics are set out plainly: "The classes are once a week and last about an hour. You will return each week at the same time and day for the new lesson until graduation." Enrollment starts with a conversation – "you need to get signed up for the right class by talking with our dog teacher" – and the site asks owners to bring vaccination paperwork, a leash, plenty of treats and a favorite toy, and recommends that "For consistent results, bring everyone who lives with your pup along for class." On cost it says "The cost varies and depends on which classes fit you and your pup the best."
The trainer, in the site's words
A dedicated page is headed "About Jacklyn" and says "Jacklyn is our professional animal trainer. She has been training animals since 2005!" It credits her with "experience working with different species of animals, working as a trainer for other businesses, training thousands of exotic animals successfully, self-education, working with the professionals and even from school." Her own statement on the page begins, "In order to obtain an animals trust, there is a need to understand animals in a more intimate way," and argues that "building that connection and communication are the most important parts of animal training." The page notes she also offers free pet care advice by phone, and that the business takes in and rehomes pets through a rescue arm alongside the training.
