About Always Training K9s

Always Training K9s works from 114 LeLand Court E in Murfreesboro and states its approach up front: "One size does not fit all. This is especially true with dog training, We assess your dog's personality and behavior to allow us to tailor a dog training program that best fits your dog and ensures a positive outcome for both dog and owner."

What they publish

Three programs are named in the site's own navigation: Two Week Puppy Board & Train, Two Week Board and Train, and Therapy & Service Dogs. The business is explicit that the owner is trained alongside the dog: "We don't just train your dog or puppy. We also work with you, the owner, to give you the knowledge you need to feel confident that you will be able to maintain your dog's training success." Its stated commitment is that "every dog we train reaches their full potential," under the phrase "No Dog Left Behind."

The trainer

Nikki "has spent her life raising and training her own dogs and has over 12 years of professional dog training experience," and is described as having "trained 100's of dogs in obedience, rehabilitation, behavior modification, and service and therapy dog training." She "holds certification as a Master Dog Trainer since 2014 and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator," and has "competed and titled in UAD Dock Diving, NACSW Nose Work Trials and AKC Trick Training with her own personal dogs."

How it works in practice

The assessment is described as two-sided: "Nikki is not only assessing your dog, but is also evaluating the relationship and dynamics between owner and dog. This holistic approach allows Nikki to incorporate training techniques that will support both owner and dog." A 10% first responder and military discount is offered "on any booked Board and Train program we provide upon showing of suitable identification." Published hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, closed Sunday.
