Amanda Gagnon Dog Training
Overview
About Amanda Gagnon Dog Training
Amanda Gagnon Dog Training has been on the Upper West Side since 2009 and organizes its whole site around who is asking rather than what the service is called: one door for puppy people, one for dog owners, one for dog professionals.
For puppy owners
The puppy track includes a free puppy Q&A, puppy classes, puppy socials, puppy day school and private puppy training. Day school is pitched exactly as a city owner would use it — drop the puppy off to train and socialize while you get on with your morning.
For owners of adult dogs
Here the offer is a free Q&A, flex clubs run by season, group classes, socials, day school, private training, time with a certified trainer, dog walks and an affiliate playgroup. The through-line in the copy is support rather than correction: join a class when the behavior is driving you to distraction, lean on us during the midnight potty stage.
For the trade
An apprenticeship program, shelter and rescue training, and a resources page for veterinarians are published alongside the client services, which is unusual for a business of this size and says something about how the school sees itself in the neighborhood.
Community
The school runs a free online community for owners moderated by its own trainers, and invites people to drop into the office rather than only booking online.
