Aurum Canine Services is a Rosemount, MN training business serving the south metro under the banner "The Golden Standard." It specializes in obedience, private and service dog training, adapts training to each dog and client, and includes complimentary lifetime support with all training.

The trainer

Program director and head trainer Dana Daniels has worked in animal medicine since 2006 and became deeply involved in training when she needed a service dog of her own. She was a puppy trainer for a local obedience club. She lists Professional Member of the IACP, Premium Professional Member of the APDT, Certified Therapy Pet Evaluator through Therapy Pets Unlimited, and membership in the Bloomington Obedience Training Club. She uses positive motivation methods.

Services

Private training covers barking, jumping and leash manners through three programs, including a Safe Dog Package, plus a la carte options. The Good Puppy Jumpstart teaches crate training, loose leash walking and socialization. Board and train starts at 14 days and includes complimentary refresher days. Day trip training and training check-ins are offered for dogs while owners work. Service dog training focuses on psychiatric service dogs for civilians and veterans, following International Association of Assistance Dog Partners standards with 6 months and 120 documented hours of public access training; owner-trained candidates must first pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
