About Authentic Paws LLC

Authentic Paws is a one-trainer business in Sanborn, run by Vicki Eberle, serving Niagara County and northern Erie County since 2015. It began as a purely in-home practice; in December 2016 the owner finished renovating a building on her own property and now runs the same private training and behavior work there alongside group classes.

Services

The published list covers group classes for puppy socialization and beginner life skills, a Surviving Adolescence class, advanced levels including Canine Good Citizen training, mental enrichment work, and Family Paws Parent Education. Alongside the classes the business publishes behavior services and behavior modification for problem behaviors, educational workshops on general dog topics such as body language, choosing a dog, and safety with dogs and children, and dog birthday parties. Pet sitting and dog walking are offered on a limited basis within the local area, and the training space can be rented for play groups.

Background and credentials

The owner came to training through a Maltese puppy bought from a pet store with congenital defects and attachment problems, which led her into volunteering and shelter work. She completed Animal Behavior College's dog trainer program with honors in 2013, did an externship with a local mentor trainer, then worked for that trainer providing private in-home training. In 2015 she became a Licensed Educator for the Family Paws Dogs & Storks and Dogs & Toddlers programs, specializing in preparing expectant families with dogs, and in 2016 she earned CPDT-KA status through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. She is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.
