About Bark & Learn – Best Dog Training & Sitting in Rye Brook, NY

Bark & Learn runs training, daycare and boarding from one place in Rye Brook, on the Rye Brook side of the Rye Brook and Port Chester line.

Who trains here

The site names Carla Fukumori as the certified trainer, describes her as a graduate of Animal Behavior College, and states more than 20 years handling and caring for dogs with more than 15 of those in professional training. She is also described as certified in pet CPR and first aid. The stated specialty is behavior modification across breeds.

Approach

The written method is positive reinforcement paired with what the site calls confident leadership – clear boundaries set without harsh techniques. Programs are described as customized to the dog's age, personality and goals rather than sold as one fixed curriculum, and puppy work is called out separately from obedience and from problem behavior.

The rest of the business

Daycare is sold as supervised socialization with mental and physical stimulation, and boarding as a home-style stay for a few days or several months. If you want one place that trains the dog and also has it when you travel, that combination is the point of this business.
