Overview
About Bark Lodge
Bark Lodge sits on NC Highway 66 South in Kernersville with 8,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, and is open 365 days a year.
Day training
Train & Play is one-on-one work with a trainer during the day, covering "a variety of behavioral concerns, from basic manners to complicated problems", on a plan built for the household. Every session comes with a progress update detailing what was worked on and advice on continuing at home. The day rate is $70 and packages start at $650.
The classes, and what they cost
Loose Leash Walking is a three-week class at $115 working heeling, leash control and response to distractions – the site's framing is "do you walk your dog or does your dog walk you?" Rapid Recall is also three weeks at $115, aimed at a reliable come. A four-week Disc Class at $150 teaches catching, drop on cue and putting the disc in the handler's hand.
Dock diving
The facility has its own dock. Rental is $25 for 30 minutes or $40 for an hour, available to current competitors and students; private lessons are $50 for 30 minutes or $90 for an hour; a four-week Dock Diving Class is $150; and a season swim pass is $300 for a calendar year, including an hour of rental time each week.
Alongside training
Day care, boarding and grooming are offered from the same site. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and split morning and evening blocks at weekends and holidays.
Who it’s best for
Best for an owner who wants a specific skill fixed at a known price, or a route into disc and dock sports.
