About Next-Door K9 Solutions of the Triad

Next-Door K9 Solutions of the Triad is the Winston-Salem territory of Next-Door K9 Solutions, a training company with locations in several states. The local page states "Located in Winston Salem, we offer services in Winston Salem, High Point, Burlington, Greensboro, and the surrounding areas."

The program list

What this location publishes as its own programs is puppy training, on-leash training, on and off-leash training, behavior modification, reactivity training and aggression rehabilitation. Its own summary is "We offer puppy training, on leash obedience, off leash obedience, reactivity training, and aggression rehabilitation. No matter the issue, we can help you and your dog reach the desired goal." Free consultations are offered.

Residency and how dogs are housed

Depending on the program and options chosen, a dog stays either in the facility or at a trainer's home. The site says the facility has over 20 cameras covering every angle so dogs can be watched constantly, and describes a routine in which dogs are taken out frequently early on and then in longer, less frequent sessions.

Tools and harder cases

The site is direct about equipment: tools may be switched several times through a program depending on the dog, and prong collars and e-collars are used, which it acknowledges clients are often skeptical about. It also says it deals with cases of separation anxiety, fear and other behavioral problems, and watches for stress signals such as licking, biting or whining during a stay.
