About Bark to Brilliance K9 Behavioral Training

Severe behavior cases

Bark to Brilliance K9 Behavioral Training is a Houston program led by owner and trainer Joseph Fernandez, who describes himself as a K9 behaviorist working with severe reactivity, aggression, fear, anxiety and escape cases across Houston and surrounding areas. He takes case referrals from other local trainers and works with breeds such as the Cane Corso, Belgian Malinois, Presa Canario, Akita and livestock guardian breeds, and he handles regular training cases and puppies too.

The board-and-train program

Every new dog starts with a two-week board-and-train in which the dog lives with Joseph, his family and his own pack in his home, with round-the-clock supervision. The program covers daily obedience, leash and house manners, kennel and potty training, socialization, behavior modification and an introduction to public spaces. It ends with a two-hour go-home lesson for the whole household and one follow-up lesson about two weeks later.

After the program

Graduates can attend group training classes free for the life of the dog, book post-program boarding and join advanced trainings. One-on-one lessons are available as follow-up support after the program. Free phone consults are offered, with same-day or next-day intake for emergencies.
