About Bay Haven Boarding and Training

Board and train in Gloucester

Bay Haven Boarding and Training is a Gloucester business offering board and train, private training and small-scale boarding. The site says all dogs are welcome, from very energetic dogs to anxious ones and strong or aggressive ones.

Board and train

Dogs live with a trainer for 1-3 weeks, depending on the level of obedience wanted, and local dogs can be picked up from home. Each day covers obedience, manners, socialization and behavior modification, and owners get a daily digital report card with notes, photos and videos. The program ends with a two-hour private turnover lesson in your home.

Training options

The services page lists dog aggression training for aggression, reactivity and anxiety, puppy training, e-collar training for reliable off-leash work, positive reinforcement training and balanced training, which it describes as reward-based methods blended with fair corrections.

Boarding

Boarding is $45 a night and limited to five dogs at a time, with indoor/outdoor runs, a fenced play yard, neighborhood walks and pickup and drop-off.

What to ask

Ask which board and train length fits your goals, whether pickup covers your address, and how aggression cases are assessed before a stay.
