About Best Paw Forward Dog Training & Human Education

Best Paw Forward Dog Training & Human Education is an at-home training business whose published service area is "Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, Morrisville, and Southwest Raleigh." Its stated reason for working in the house rather than a facility is practical: "Working with each dog individually by going to our client's homes, we are able to address the important issues in the pet's real home environment."

The trainer and his affiliations

The business is led by Frank Verni, CMDT, whom the site lists as a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the International Association of Canine Professionals, the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association and the K-9 Circle, and as a Canine Good Citizen and S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator for the AKC. A second professional trainer is introduced on the same page, with a background working at a kennel and volunteering for a pet adoption charity, giving her experience of "all temperaments and breeds." The claims above are the business's own; none of the bodies named runs a public North Carolina registry this directory can check.

What clients and referrers say

The endorsements the business publishes are unusual in coming from other professionals – a veterinarian who writes that he has "referred patients to Frank for over five years" and describes the methods as "gentle and effective," and a professional groomer who has referred clients "for many years." A client account describes preparing a dog for the arrival of a new baby.
