About Best Paw Forward K9 Training

Lifestyle training

Best Paw Forward K9 Training describes itself as an experienced family dog trainer in the greater Richmond, Virginia area, and frames what it does as lifestyle dog training. The site's premise is that dogs are in our lives to add fun, joy and love rather than stress, and that training should make it possible to include the dog in ordinary life.

Three areas of work

The site organizes its work into three groups. Puppies covers potty training, puppy mouthing, jumping and starting a young dog off well. Basic Obedience is aimed at owners who want a calm, polite dog for patio dinners, family vacations and a day at the park, with reliable obedience and off-leash freedom. Behavioral Issues covers what the site calls leash reactivity or leash aggression toward other dogs, along with jumping and nuisance barking.

Who trains

The trainer is Pat, who introduces herself on the Meet Us page and says she hates seeing pet owners struggle. Her own dogs Gatz, Daisy and Amelia are described as a big help during a dog's stay.

Scope

The site states that it takes any breed and any age, and asks prospective clients to use the contact form for details and availability.
