About Big Basin Dog Training & Boarding

About

Big Basin Dog Training & Boarding operates on 15 country acres on Claribel Road in Modesto. Its owners started training dogs in the 1970s, and their experience includes AKC obedience, search and rescue, police K-9s and Schutzhund, much of it at competition level.

Training

Basic obedience covers sit, stay, come, heel, down and leash manners. Behavior modification addresses jumping, chewing, barking, leash pulling, fear and reactivity through customized plans. Advanced programs include AKC obedience, Schutzhund, search and rescue and police K-9 training, and puppy classes and board and train programs are offered. Owners are taught how to keep reinforcing lessons at home, and boarding with supervision and structured activity is also available.
