Engaged Dog Training is run by its lead trainer and owner, who works alongside his daughter. Its training is relationship-driven and hands-on: owners learn to read their dog's needs, respond with clarity and patience and build consistency, and the business takes a limited number of clients so each gets a personalized plan.

Services

Training begins with a two-hour in-home evaluation that observes the dog's behavior around its surroundings, people and other dogs and sets the owner's goals. Private lessons for puppies six months and older and adult dogs follow, building structure, trust and clear communication, addressing problem behaviors at their root and assigning homework between sessions. Pack walks are also offered.
