About Big Murph’s Duck Dogs

What they offer

Big Murph's Duck Dogs is a Carmel training business that specializes in hunting dogs and multi-purpose K9s, and also takes on obedience training and behavioral rehabilitation. Training is done in all weather and environments so that dogs are ready for real life.

Hunting dogs

Retriever training runs from introduction to advanced work: single to multiple marked retrieves at long distances, blind retrieves, handling and casting, and hunting scenarios from blinds, stands and boats, with collar and gun conditioning if requested. The menu also lists bird dogs, shed dogs, hounds and a big game recovery service.

Obedience and behavior

The house dog program accepts dogs of any age. Obedience courses are planned around the owner's lifestyle and cover sit, stay, down, off, heel, place, kennel and leave it, with full on- and off-leash control and a reliable recall. Behavioral rehabilitation is aimed at extreme anxiety, reactivity, adult potty issues, over-arousal and serious aggression. Training comes as private classes or board-and-train stays of one week to two months.

Working roles

Service and therapy dog training and search and rescue training are offered as well.
