Allie and Tommy did a wonderful job with our English setter, Rush, during his board and train session. Within a few weeks we saw an immediate and significant difference in his command recognition and recall. We frequently use them to board both of our dogs and never have had an issue with scheduling and always can be in communication within a short period of time. In the limited interactions we’ve had with both Allie and Tommy we can see they are great trainers, excellent dog watchers, and genuinely good people.

We sent our boy Goose here for the 4 week board and train and have zero regrets! Tommy and the whole team are so talented and educated. Not only will your dog learn a lot but you/your family will learn so much in the process. Totally worth the investment and time! We’re were stuck with our dog and unsure of next steps to best help him and his anxiety. Now, he is able to rest and is notably calmer at home. So grateful for this team, their experience and how they treat your dog like their own. Excited for him to return for daycare visits!

Birch Valley is absolutely the best place you can go for your dog training needs. We had looked around at several options and are confident we found the best trainers in SW ohio. We did the board and train for our 9 month old pup. Not only is the property puppy paradise Tommy and Allie and Sam are superb. Their experience and knowledge and care are top notch. We truly felt like they cared about and took care of our dog like it was their own. They take the pre-take home sessions super seriously because a big part of success is training the owners. We will also have zero guilt about boarding with them in the future as our pup will definitely be excited to visit his birch valley family.

5 stars are not enough! Birch Valley K9 is an incredible facility with phenomenal services offered. My 2 year old Doberman loves attending day care where she can safely socialize with other dogs in a large natural space. She also completed the 3 week board and train to increase her confidence and improve her obedience in public. The owners are trustworthy and transparent in their business. They are also extremely knowledgeable and responsive to any and all dog related questions. I will continue taking my dog to Birch Valley for the foreseeable future and will recommend to anyone looking for dog services!

I cannot say enough great things about Tommy, Allie, and the Birch Valley crew!! We came to them off of a recommendation from a friend who brought her dog there for board and train. She told us it was worth every penny and she would do it all over again if she had the choice.

We have a very big, energetic 3yo berner who thought rules didn’t apply to him no matter how hard we tried and he truly didn’t realize his size. The minute we arrived to have an introduction and understand the process, our dog was all over the place with excitement and Allie, who had never met him before, immediately got his attention and found a way to make him focus and listen. From that point on we were sold.

Throughout the few weeks of board and train, we received training updates and videos and came to visit so we could see the progress and be taught ourselves. The key thing to take away was never stop training. We’ve been home with our newly trained and very well listening pup for a few months now and continue to utilize everything Allie and Tommy taught us. It is truly night and day with how we experience walks, people in the home, feeding time, and any other fun activity that we’d usually have concern about with our dog being a little “too much” or not listening. The best part is, he is still the same goofy giant that he has always been, but with a little more grace when it comes to listening and being a truly “good boy”.

Also, we live in Cincinnati and they helped make trips down to our home to help him in action training in the home and his own space, while taking him back to Dayton to finish the training. Very convenient for everyone and made it a truly trusting and wonderful experience. If you are wondering if it’s worth the time and money, let me tell you, it 100% is!!
