About Bodhi Bow Wow

How it works

Bodhi Bow Wow LLC sets out a single path rather than a course list: "Our first step is to make an appointment for a comprehensive assessment between you and your canine friend. Then we build a program just for you and implement the training between a series of sessions." If a full program is not needed, the site says, "we also offer dog walking services and basic grooming services." The stated benefits are "A better relationship with your dog through personalized training sessions customized to each unique dog and human partnership," identifying "any challenges you may be facing," designing "a detailed and comprehensive training program," teaching "the basic concepts of training your dog," and "Ongoing support through evaluation and explanation as you implement your dog's unique training plan."

Method, in the site's words

The business describes itself as "dedicated to providing the best quality care for your canine family members," and says it is "passionate about helping dogs and their humans develop better relationships through understandable teachings, humane and effective training techniques, while providing ongoing support in all aspects of pet ownership." On technique it is specific: "We focus on 'new school' techniques that minimize use of corrections and optimize positive reinforcement."

What clients say

The published testimonials address the trainer by first name as Quentin and describe the work in everyday terms – one credits him with showing a family "some easy to do games and techniques to focus that energy" for a high-energy puppy, another says a dog that had seemed "out of control and a lost cause" now "comes when called, sits on command and no longer chews the furniture," and a third thanks him for house training and basic commands. A fellow trainer's testimonial says "You can't go wrong when you and your dog are looked at like the individuals you are." The home page also carries the line "Proud EIT Graduate through DEFY Ventures In Partnership with UWM."
