About Brilliant Behavior K-9 Academy

Balanced training in Tomball

Brilliant Behavior K-9 Academy is a dog training facility at 11518 Bogs Rd in Tomball, run by trainer Kenzie. It uses balanced training methods, with tools such as slip leashes, prong collars, e-collars, spatial pressure, treats, petting and praise, and keeps things simple: "no" means no and "yes" means yes.

Programs and prices

Board and train is the most popular option: 3 weeks for $2,950, 4 weeks for $3,650, or a Puppy Program of two 2-week stays for $3,600, each including an E-collar Technologies remote collar. Dogs get field trips to busy public places, daily walks and work around new dogs, plus a midpoint lesson, a go-home lesson and follow-up sessions. Ten private lessons cost $1,850 at the facility or $2,050 at home or a local park within 30 minutes. Hybrid programs pair private lessons with a board and train: $3,250-$3,400 for puppies of 16 weeks to 6 months and $2,350-$2,450 for adult dogs. Programs address bad habits, fear, anxiety and reactivity, and multi-dog discounts are offered.
