About Buck’s Dog Training Virginia

Buck's Dog Training Virginia sits a long way from the water, in Newsoms – the site footer gives it as "Buck's Dog Training Virginia 34577 Monroe Road Newsoms Virginia 23874", which is rural Southampton County rather than the Hampton Roads urban core.

A farm, not a kennel unit

The distinguishing fact here is the property. Programs are described as running "from private, in-home coaching to immersive 2- and 3-week Board & Train programs at our 18-acre farm, including advanced Service Dog training". For a residential program the amount of land matters, and eighteen acres is a genuinely different environment from a converted suite in a business park.

What is on the menu

The FAQ lists the range in one sentence: "We offer a variety of dog training … including Dog Obedience Classes, Service Dog Training, Board and Train, Puppy Training, and Boarding services". Sport is offered as an introduction rather than a competition program – the site mentions "introductions to dog sports like Dog Agility, Canine Frisbee (Disc Dog), and Field Work".

And what is not

There is a straight refusal on the site, and it is the most useful line on it: "Currently, we do not offer group classes." That sits a little awkwardly next to the FAQ's reference to obedience classes, so if a group setting is what you want for socialization, confirm on the phone which of the two is current. Ask who will train your dog when you call.
