Dacia's Dog Training is a women-owned small business in Rochester led by Dacia Lynn Gilmore, a positive reinforcement dog trainer. Her approach centers on understanding what is influencing a dog's behavior and building a clear, individualized plan for each dog, since no two dogs are the same.

Training options

Every training service begins with a consultation, an in-home evaluation where she assesses the dog as a whole, talks through the owner's goals and gives clear recommendations. Private lessons are one-on-one sessions in the owner's home or neighborhood, with behavior-focused support, skill building that fits daily life and written follow-up. Day training is a structured drop-off program where the dog works directly with her throughout the day to build reliable skills and behavior, and board and train programs of one to four weeks have the dog living in her home.

Other care

Enriched boarding offers a vacation-style stay, and drop-in visits look after dogs and cats at home while their owners are away.
