By the Bay Dog Training provides in-home behavior and obedience training for dogs of all ages and breeds, serving the East Bay, Palo Alto and San Francisco. Its specialty is the more severe behavior issues such as aggression, reactivity and anxiety, and it also runs a puppy program and trains adult dogs that need basic training.

Programs

The site lists in-home training, obedience, separation anxiety, recall and off-leash work, leash reactivity, puppy training for puppies two months and older (potty training, leash walking, crate training, destructive behavior and basic commands), aggressive dog training for human and dog aggression and reactivity, anxiety training, leash training, barking, training for new parents and service dog training. Training starts at home and later moves out into the real world.

How it works

The first step is a two-hour behavior consultation with no obligation to continue. The site describes its approach both as balanced and reward based and as following LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive).
