About Canine Counselors

Your neighborhood trainer in Miami

Canine Counselors is a Miami in-home dog training service that calls itself "Your Neighborhood Dog Trainer." Its reasoning is that a dog's home environment is often the source of behavior problems, so the home and surrounding neighborhood make the most effective training location. Training is based on understanding how dogs think and communicate: reading body language, respecting natural instincts and using positive reinforcement to build good behavior. Owners learn to stay in control without yelling, punishment or stress.

Programs and service area

Services include puppy training, problem solving, housebreaking, behavior modification, adult dog training, basic and advanced obedience and socialization, with help for barking, jumping and leash pulling. Canine Counselors serves much of Miami-Dade, including Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Doral, Hialeah, Homestead, Kendall, Key Biscayne, Miami Beach, Miami Lakes, Pinecrest, South Miami and West Kendall, and in Broward serves Cooper City, Davie, Miramar, Pembroke Pines and Weston.
