About Canine Field of Dreams

A dog camp on 10 acres

Canine Field of Dreams sits on 10 acres of fields and trails in Springfield, a few minutes outside Papillion and the Omaha metro. It runs Friendship Camp daycare in small, matched playgroups seven days a week, Overnight Camp boarding, and private off-leash rentals by the hour in a 1.5-acre fenced field with wooded trails, a pool, a sand pit and agility features.

Training classes

Classes aim beyond sit and stay, teaching owners to redirect unwanted behaviors and reward preferred ones. Follow the Lead: On and Off Lead Foundations is a six-week evening class on leash handling, attention games and distractions, for 4 to 8 dogs, at $250 plus taxes and fees. Kindergarten Pup Campers is a drop-off, half-day course of six classes for 2 to 4 dogs, at $1,050 plus taxes and fees, where camp counselors and trainers practice crate manners, calming skills, listening skills and socialization, with daily progress updates.

Class requirements

Dogs must be kennel trained, non-reactive and current on Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella vaccines. Owners bring a martingale collar or harness, a 10 to 15 foot leash and high-value treats.
