About Canine Gems Dog Training

Canine Gems Dog Training is a small Greensboro practice working from Merritt Drive. It is run by one trainer and the site is written in her own voice throughout.

What is on offer

Two formats are sold. Private Coaching teaches the owner to work the dog; Day Training is the trained-for-you option, where the trainer does the work so the owner does not have to. The business says a plan can be either of those or a mix of both, built after a free discovery call to establish what the dog and owner actually need.

In Spanish as well as English

The site publishes its whole offer a second time in Spanish – private classes and trained-for-you options, with a direct invitation to call or email with questions. Very few trainers in the Triad publish in two languages, and for a Spanish-speaking household that is the practical difference.

The approach

The business frames the problem as an owner's rather than a dog's: that people who are committed to their dogs deserve a good relationship with them, and that it is easy to be overwhelmed by the amount of free and contradictory advice online. The stated aim is a well-regulated dog and an owner who enjoys living with it.
