About Canine Kingdom Downers Grove

The Downers Grove location on 63rd Street

Canine Kingdom’s Downers Grove site is at 2151 63rd St and is the second of the business’s two locations, the other being Naperville; both are run from the same website and share a single email address. The about page states “Beach For Dogs is family owned and was established in 2015.” The services offered here mirror the Naperville branch: training, daycare, boarding, grooming, a licensed grooming school and a trainer school.

Training programs

The FAQ names a full progression of programs: Royal Foundations for puppy socialization and early commands, Knight School for basic obedience and manners, Noble Manners for intermediate control and focus, Crown Champion for advanced off-leash reliability, Code of Conduct for AKC Canine Good Citizen preparation, and Crown Council for custom training plans by request. The site describes the approach as helping a dog “learn with positive training” and says programs are customized rather than fixed.

What it costs and who teaches

Rates are published on the home page: daycare at $50 for a full day or $15 hourly, boarding at $65 per night with $5 added per night in holiday weeks, grooming from $15 for a nail trim, grooming school tuition at $7,100, and training starting at $1,795 for a 20 day program. The about page names Ed Wilson as Director of Grooming Services, Master Groomer and lead instructor of the grooming academy, and credits him with a professional pet grooming diploma from the Autumn River Academy of Professional Pet Grooming and Artistry after a 38 year career in the information technology field.
