About Canine Obedience And Correction Agency, COACA LLC

Canine Obedience And Correction Agency – COACA LLC – operates out of Newport News and does its publishing on Facebook rather than on a website of its own.

What the page says it does

The page description is the clearest single statement available: "Canine Obedience and Correction Agency, COACA LLC voted Winner of the Platinum Award over the past 3 years for Pet Training by CommunityVotes-Newport News VA, offers instruction to local pet owners on how to more effectively communicate with their pets." Note the framing – instruction to owners, not a drop-off program. The award is a local readers' vote rather than a credential, but three consecutive years is at least a signal of a steady client base.

Coverage

The about tab lists a service area that runs across most of the region – Hampton, James City County, Suffolk, Williamsburg, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Isle of Wight County, Virginia Beach and Newport News. Its address is in the Carywood area of Newport News, in the 23602 ZIP.

One thing to know before calling

This page also runs puppy sales. Posts advertise Cane Corso litters with a "Discounted Canine Training Program through COACA LLC" included, and the page states "We are committed to placing our puppies in responsible, committed homes". Training and breeding under one roof is not a fault, but it is worth knowing which side of the business you are being quoted for.

What to ask

Ask for a service menu, prices, the class schedule, who the trainer is and any certification. Individual posts use behavioral language – one new-client post tags behavioral modification for anxiety and aggression – so ask whether that is offered as a program.
