About Canine Techniques

Family-run training in Chester

Canine Techniques LLC is a family dog training business in Chester, owned and run by Sonia Mullen Hartl and Herby Hartl. Its motto is "It's More Than Obedience, It's A Relationship." The Hartls believe the best place for a dog to stay and learn is in a house with a family, with all the daily distractions and excitement of home.

Approach

The mission of Canine Techniques is to give owners the knowledge they need to communicate with their dogs effectively, off leash and in the home. Training uses natural communication techniques involving body language, vocal tones and positive reinforcement to build mutual understanding, with a focus on realistic applications.

What to ask

Ask which programs are offered, whether dogs stay with the family for training, program lengths and current pricing.
