About Citizen Canine

What they offer

Citizen Canine is a boarding and daycare facility near Oakland International Airport whose Citizen Canine Academy combines training with daycare, so dogs learn while their owners work. Dogs work one-on-one with the training team on fundamentals, impulse control, basic obedience and social skills, with several sessions a day, monitored play and rest.

Programs

Academy Level 1 is a puppy kindergarten for puppies from 16 weeks to 8 months and dogs that need basic manners, covering basic obedience, impulse control and recall. Level 2 builds on those skills with distance, distraction and duration and introduces advanced leash training. Both run four or five days a week for four weeks. Foundation Focus is a one-week intensive for dogs with prior training, and a manners refresher is also offered.
