About East Bay SPCA Oakland Adoption Center

What they offer

The East Bay SPCA offers affordable dog training using positive reinforcement and fear-free methods, through private training sessions, in-person group classes, human-only seminars and workshops, and on-demand webinars. Private sessions are available in person at its locations and virtually.

Classes

Puppy Stars is for puppies under 16 weeks and covers foundation and social skills while tracking socialization milestones. East Bay Canine College has four levels, from basic skills to intermediate and advanced behaviors. Specialty classes include nose work, tricks, agility, Canine Good Citizen and recall, and a newer Puppy Playschool program supports young puppies.

Good to know

Beginner group classes are not suited to dogs that bark and lunge at other dogs; ask about private training or the reactive-dog options for those dogs.
