About Courteous K9

Training center in Rochester

Courteous K9 is a Rochester dog training center started by a group of trainers determined to make quality training the priority. Every service is geared toward helping people do more with their dogs, and the team believes in teaching owners as much as their dogs, for long-lasting results.

Philosophy

The trainers keep expanding their toolbox as dog training science grows and draw on many techniques learned through classes, seminars, workshops, mentors and hands-on work with thousands of dogs. They take a flexible approach rather than a one size fits all system, aiming to train in a way that is clear, fair and enjoyable, and choose the techniques that fit each dog and family.

Services

Group classes run from foundation to advanced and sport classes. Day Training is a training-focused alternative to daycare where dogs practice skills and appropriate play. Board & Train stays are a popular option while owners travel. Private training and rentals are available, and the CK9 online membership, with step-by-step text and video lessons, is $25 a month.

What owners say

Hannah S. wrote that the training is "very comprehensive and applicable to real life."
