Cowboy & Co Canine Training is a one-man training business run by owner and head trainer Luke Vela, serving Richardson, East Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, Plano, Rowlett and nearby DFW cities. He has worked hands-on with dogs since 2015, trained professionally since 2020, and launched the company in June of 2025. He is an AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a Mantrailing Global-certified mantrailing instructor. His method is balanced training with a lot of positive reinforcement, teaching dogs both 'yes' and 'no', with relationship and engagement put ahead of strict obedience.

Programs and prices

Board & Train has the dog living in his home with several structured sessions a day, public outings and a transfer session: Quick Start runs 2 weeks for $2,400, Advanced 3 weeks for $3,300, and Reactivity & Behavior Modification 4 weeks for $4,400. Weekly private lessons come in packs of 4 for $680, 6 for $960 and 8 for $1,200. Training covers basic and advanced obedience, off-leash reliability, reactivity, service dog and therapy dog training, and mantrailing, with group classes for past private clients.
