About Creekside Kennel

Creekside Kennel has been running on Plank Road in Averill Park since 1990 as a country boarding and daycare business for dogs and cats. What puts it in a dog training directory is who runs it and what is in the building.

Trainer-led

The site states the kennel is led by a dog trainer and veterinary technician, and that Creekside focuses on what dogs need and want when away from home, with staff pairing each dog's personality and traits to suitable activities.

Obedience classes and the training room

Obedience classes are published under daycare services, and the facility list includes a training room alongside thirty indoor and outdoor kennels, multilevel cat condos, exercise yards and a swimming pond. Daycare covers playtime, walks, cuddle-and-brush time, and pickup and delivery.

The rest of the operation

Boarding is short-term or extended. Grooming covers brushing, bathing, nail trimming and styling of all breeds, and staff dispense medication and food supplements. Reservations run through the site.

What to ask

The site publishes obedience classes as a service but not a schedule or a price. If classes are the reason you are calling, ask when the next one starts – the boarding side of this business is much more fully documented than the training side.
