About Cypress Dog Training

Real-world training with Ed

Cypress Dog Training is a private dog trainer in Cypress serving Coles Crossing, Cypress and Northwest Houston. Trainer Ed Ellingson focuses on what he calls real-world dog training built on relationship and respect, teaching owners to communicate with their dogs and provide the structure they need. He sets realistic goals unique to each household and promises "real talk" rather than scientific jargon.

Lessons

Private lessons are typically one hour, with a little discussion and a lot of hands-on practice, held at your house or in public spaces as the dog progresses. Alumni can join group follow-up lessons with other dogs, and basic skills and manners workshops for new dogs are offered, often with local boarding facilities.

What owners say

One client wrote that Ed's "methods are an excellent combination of firm and kind," and that he connected them with the right resource when their puppy showed fear aggression.
