About Darya’s Dog Training

What they offer

Darya's Dog Training is a positive reinforcement trainer in the Claremont area who specializes in rehabilitating rescue dogs. The trainer describes over eight years of caring for and training dogs in a shelter and helping adopters after their new dog came home, and began offering in-home sessions for adopters in 2023.

How sessions work

The trainer comes to the client's home for an hour-long session, focuses on what the dog needs in that home and helps the owner learn to provide it consistently. Work covers confidence building, family bonding, structured walks, basic commands, socializing with animals and people, and reactivity of any kind, from high-energy reactive dogs to shy, shut-down dogs.

Method

The site states that it does not use force: no prong collars, no e-collars and no physical domination. A free phone consultation can be booked through the contact page, and group classes and pack walks are listed on the site's menu.
