A training and wellness sanctuary in Pelham

Dog Talk LLC describes itself as a training and wellness sanctuary for dogs and their humans in Pelham. It offers private behavior coaching, Zoom coaching and Pet Partners Licensed Team Evaluations, and it serves as the New England Pet Partners, Inc. evaluation site in Pelham, New Hampshire. Its approach is educationally enriching, using gentle training, life rewards and APDT LIMA (least invasive, minimally aversive), with skills meant to fit easily into daily life.

Training levels

Private training runs in three levels. Level 1, Beginnings, covers basic manners, skills and socialization for puppies and adult dogs with a whole-dog approach. Level 2, Moderate, continues with cross-training and the "D" factors (delivery, distance, distraction, duration, diversity and discrimination) and channels adolescent energy into productive outlets. Level 3, Challenging, adds off-leash training, sequencing, non-competitive dog sports and relaxation. All levels include what a team needs to pass a Pet Partners Licensed Team Evaluation, and coaching can help modify or manage stressful behaviors in family and potential therapy dogs. The program is built on Awareness Centered Training (ACT).
