About Dog Training Elite Southeast Michigan

Who they are

Dog Training Elite Southeast Michigan is the Metro Detroit franchise of Dog Training Elite, run by owner and lead trainer Austin Goble with co-owner Kristen Goble. The site describes the business as "a family-owned, professional dog training company with over 40 years of experience specializing in strengthening the bond between you and your dog," and names a team of six: Austin Goble, Kristen Goble, Ryann Reese, Hailey Roovers, Holleigh Dolak and Steven Dennison. Austin's own bio traces his start to "duck hunting alongside some amazing retrievers" and a chocolate lab named Bayou; Kristen is a school social worker who cites watching therapy dogs help students "co-regulate through a calming and trusting bond."

What they do

The program list is explicit: obedience training, puppy training, service dog training, anxiety and aggression work, therapy dog training and group classes. Behavior pages cover socialization, biting, fear and reactiveness, separation anxiety, excessive barking, staying and coming, potty training, and destructive chewing and digging. Training starts in the home — "Starting with in-home sessions, we involve all family members to address behaviors specific to your dog's environment" — and dogs then "advance to group classes to practice their skills in more dynamic settings." Boot camps, puppy classes and an academy track for service-work preparation are also listed.

Method and pricing

The site calls the approach "balanced" while stating a commitment to positive reinforcement: "we believe dogs learn best when they feel secure, loved, and motivated." Obedience packages are published with prices — Silver $1,345 (3 one-on-one sessions, 8 group classes), Gold $1,895 (6 one-on-one, 12 group) and Platinum $2,745 (9 one-on-one, 16 group, with off-leash control as the goal). Each listed package includes an e-collar. A free assessment is offered before enrollment.
