About Dogs Do Listen LLC

Balanced off-leash training

Dogs Do Listen LLC is a Baton Rouge dog trainer serving Port Allen, Brusly, Addis, Plaquemine, Denham Springs, Zachary, Central, Baker, Gonzales and Prairieville. It describes its approach as balanced off-leash training that uses rewards and timing, and it aims to teach behavior rather than just commands, so a dog understands how to act in a situation.

The trainer

Trainer Randy graduated at the top of his class at Starmark Dog Training Academy, where he passed exams in protection, basic and advanced obedience, behavior modification, agility, scent, and search and rescue, earning the title Professional Dog Trainer and Behavioral Specialist. He adopted Sparta and Zoey, the two dogs assigned to him there.

Programs

In-home and private sessions come in packages of 3, 5 or 7 one-hour sessions and can move to parks and pet-friendly stores for real-world practice. The board and train program lasts 2 weeks to 1 month with daily lessons and an owner transfer session at the end. Virtual coaching sessions are also offered. Training topics include puppy training, public obedience, behavior work for aggression and anxiety, socialization, leash training, marker training, potty training and advanced off-leash work.
