About Dogs On Howard

What they offer

Dogs on Howard is a dog boarding and training facility on Howard Avenue in Centralia serving Centralia, Chehalis, Olympia, Tacoma and the surrounding area. Its trainer, Bill Asplin, is a certified IGP helper and uses the NePoPo system, which pairs low-level pressure, release and a reward to build confident, reliable responses.

Training

Training plans are tailored to the dog, from basic manners to advanced obedience and behavior modification. The board and train program keeps the dog at the facility for several weeks of daily sessions on obedience commands, manners, leash walking and socialization, and works on problem behaviors such as barking, jumping, leash pulling and reactivity. It ends with a detailed take-home plan and a personal training session for the owner.

Boarding

Boarding includes several hours of daily play, and an obedience refresher hour can be added to a stay. Seniors and active-duty military receive a discount on training and boarding packages.
