About Dorfman Canine

What they offer

Dorfman Canine is run by Eric Dorfman, who describes himself as a dog behaviorist specializing in aggression and trained at the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers. It serves Mesa, Gold Canyon, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler, Apache Junction and nearby areas.

Programs

In-home training means multiple in-depth visits and hands-on sessions at your home, customized to your dog, with lifetime support and free follow-up visits. The board and train, which the site calls its Dog Rehab Resort, has Eric working with your dog daily in a structured environment on serious behavior issues.

How they train

The method rarely uses food, treats or clickers and never resorts to negative punishment. For dog reactivity, the site favors counter-conditioning and controlled exposure with calm helper dogs. Call for a free consultation.
