About Dragon’s Tooth Dog Training
Dragon's Tooth Dog Training is a family-run business on Apperson Drive in Salem. It describes its mission plainly: "our mission is simple. To serve our community as a trusted, family-run training service that helps dogs and owners live in harmony."
Programs
Two board and train options are published: a 4-Week Foundation Jumpstart covering structure, manners and obedience with four private lessons afterwards, and a 6-Week Behavioral Modification program that adds behavior work and six follow-up lessons. Both are advertised with lifetime support. Private lesson packages run six lessons for basic on-leash work and ten for basic and advanced work with behavior modification.
Classes
Group classes run on a fixed weekly rhythm – a six-lesson basic obedience course on Thursdays and Saturdays, a six-lesson puppy course on Mondays, and a free graduate support class on the first Wednesday of every month for continued learning. The site also lists an "Angels of Assisi FREE Group Class" running weekly on Fridays. Classes are capped at six dogs and require an RSVP.
Approach
The site says the work is about "building calm, confident dogs who understand structure and trust their owners", with programs "designed for real life. From peaceful walks to reliable off-leash freedom." Free evaluations are advertised.
What to ask
The business describes itself as small and family-owned, where "your dog works directly with our family as we teach them." Ask who the trainers are and what certifications they hold. Ask about prices too.
