About Essential Animal Training

Connection-based training in Boca Raton

Essential Animal Training is run by Michelle Martiya, a professional animal trainer and coach who works in person across Palm Beach County, including Boca Raton, and virtually anywhere. Her approach focuses on connection instead of correction, using positive, proven, reinforcement-based methods to build clear and consistent communication between people and their animals. Alongside dogs she also works with cats, exotics and horses.

Dog programs

She helps puppies get their best start and adult dogs work through challenges such as reactivity, fear-induced behavior and sound phobias, with potty training help as well. Virtual Coaching, at $369 a month, delivers bite-sized lessons from home. Behavior Boost, at $1,240 a month, brings short, focused sessions to the owner's home, where she does the hands-on training for skills like calm greetings, crate comfort and leash walking and then shows the owner how to keep it going. The Guided Program, at $497 a month, keeps the owner at the center of the dog's learning with expert support. Lifestyle training for hiking, flying, paddleboarding or dining out is included in all programs once the basics are solid. Board and train options are available too.
