In-home training in Delray Beach

Pawsitive Dog Training is a Delray Beach in-home dog training business owned by Lori Hill, who comes to the client's home and works around the owner's schedule. A former accountant, she began training after volunteering with shelters and rescues and adopting two spinal-injury miniature dachshunds in 2006, which became certified therapy dogs. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and Therapy Dogs International. She offers gentle, positive reinforcement behavior modification, therapy dog and obedience training, and works with separation anxiety, marking, nuisance barking and chewing or mouthing. A portion of proceeds goes to a local rescue group.

Programs

All programs are customizable and include training treats, a walking harness or halter, written homework and practice or jumpstart sessions where Lori works one-on-one with the dog between lessons. The Well-Mannered Dog Program covers six commands and four behaviors across seven private lessons. The Amazing Dog Program adds take it, leave it, down, a trick, crating and greetings, plus lessons around other dogs. The Dream Dog Program adds heel, go to bed, wait and stand and prepares dogs for Canine Good Citizen and therapy dog work. Pet sitting, dog walking and pet transportation are offered too.
