About Faithfully K9: Service Dog and Dog Training

What they offer

Faithfully K9 helps individuals with a disability train their own dog to become their service dog, working with veterans, first responders and civilians with PTSD, mobility and hearing issues. It does not charge veterans or first responders for training and relies on donations, grants and sponsors. The site says it is working toward becoming an accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.

Pet dog training

Private pet dog sessions take place once a week in the client's home and cover basic obedience, leash training and problem solving, with daily practice between sessions.

How they train

The site says it uses clicker training with treats and only positive reinforcement, and does not use e-collars, choke collars or pinch collars.

Service area

Its service area runs from the Superior and Flatirons Crossing area to Aurora and from Conifer to Castle Rock; clients outside it meet within that area.
