About felix-and-fido

Outdoor-minded training from Brookline

Felix and Fido 603 is a Brookline dog training business offering "training for dogs (and people) who love the outdoors," with adventure walks and training across southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. Owner Lindsey Shaklee, CPDT-KA, has 25+ years of experience working with animals, including shelter work, obedience and family dog classes, training search and rescue, medical alert and scent detection dogs, and raising service dogs. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a Certified Family Dog Mediator, holds a psychology degree and a master's in conservation biology, and her current dog is a trained wildlife detection dog.

Services

All Trails and Training combines day training with adventure walks while owners work. Other services include puppy training, puppy sitting, cani-cross and cani-trekking lessons, dog powered walks, tracking and scent work, wildlife friendly hiking skills, and gun dog skills for non-hunters. Group classes meet at Chewies Playland and local open space, and a free Zoom group coaching session runs Wednesdays at 6:00pm. Client dogs walk on a long line rather than off leash.

Approach

Lindsey's philosophy builds a strong relationship between dog and human through positive reinforcement, adventure and partnership, on the view that outdoor and scent experiences help meet a dog's needs.
