About Fox and Hound Dog Training
Fox and Hound Dog Training sells coaching for the owner, not sessions for the dog, and says so bluntly on its own home page: "I don't teach your dog, I teach YOU to be a leader for your dog. I won't be around their whole life, you will."
The three programs
Three Elite Coaching Programs are published. Behavioral Wellness is aimed at complex issues, named on the site as crippling anxiety and reactivity, and is described as working through positive reinforcement and clear communication protocols. The Early Development Program is the puppy track, described as exposing a puppy to new stimuli under guidance during its critical growth phase. Precision Obedience is the advanced track, covering refined verbal cues and off-leash reliability.
The method as stated
The site's framing is that positive reinforcement is the backbone but not the whole of it: alongside rewarding the dog, the owner is taught how to tell the dog when something is not working. It draws a line between teaching tricks and reforming behavior, and states its own disqualifier – the program is not for an owner who is not committed to changing the dog's life or to starting a puppy properly.
Who runs it
The lead instructor and owner is named on the page as Cobey Fox, with the site claiming over six years of expertise and describing the approach as using behavioral insight to work with each dog.
What to ask
Ask about prices and the area it covers. Contact is by form or by email. An owner should confirm coverage of their own address before booking.
Who it’s best for
Best for an owner who wants to be coached through a reactivity or anxiety problem themselves, and who is willing to ask about travel area first.
