About Moltuc

Moltuc is based in Walworth, just east of Rochester, and covers a wider footprint than most local schools: the site says it works across Rochester, Buffalo and the surrounding Western New York area, and offers remote training anywhere in the world.

The philosophy

The motto published on the site is "For The Life Your Dog Wants," and the explanation given is that the job is to help owners understand what will fulfill their dog and then teach them how to deliver it. The method is described as professional, balanced, relationship-based positive reinforcement for dogs of all ages, built around the dog's natural skills. The site puts it plainly: it teaches owners how to give a dog the outlet for what it was bred to do.

Proactive rather than remedial

The stated specialty is proactive training. The site names three moments: starting puppies correctly, helping through the difficulties of adolescence, and keeping a dog happy and learning throughout its life. That framing runs through the two named programs, the Perfect Puppy Program and the Adventure Academy.

The formats

Private training, small group classes and board and train are all published. Private training is sold as lessons, day trains or a board and train, depending on which suits the household. The site directs owners to its Facebook page for current class information, which suggests the class calendar moves faster than the website.

The trainer

The site names Bethany and says she brings years of veterinary experience and education, arguing that this makes the business more than just a dog trainer. Published client comments describe her classes as individualized even in a group setting, and one comes from another professional dog trainer who says she has titled two dogs and does not let anything get in the way of class night.
