What they offer

From the Heart Dog Training in Salinas provides two main services, dog obedience training and doggie day care. Its motto is "Respect your pet: train without pain!"

Training

Several levels of group classes, including puppy classes, are held in a 10,000 square foot, fully matted indoor facility on Brunken Avenue. Private consultations, usually a one-time visit to resolve a behavior problem, and private in-home lessons are offered for owners who cannot commit to classes or need individual attention.

Small dog social and day care

A donation-based small dog social meets every Saturday at 9 am for dogs under 30 pounds or under 6 months of age. The day care, Paws at Play, offers play and learning while owners are at work. Current shots and a recent negative fecal test are required for classes, socials and day care.
