About Fur Keepers Pet Services & Training

Fur Keepers Pet Services & Training works out of Advance, on NC-801, and runs two lines from the same business: pet sitting and dog training. Its tagline is "Loving care when you're not there".

What the training covers

The FAQ states the scope directly: "We offer pet training services to help your furry friends learn obedience, manners, essential skills, and minor behavioral, problematic, or anxiety issues." Training is booked the same way as pet care – by email or by text or call – and established clients book through the business's scheduling software.

Where the work happens

The argument the site makes for in-home work is about the dog rather than convenience: keeping a dog in its own environment, with the same sights, smells and familiar sounds, is described as reducing the anxiety that comes with the owner leaving.

Method and safety

The stated method is positive reinforcement focused on rewards to encourage desired behaviors. The site says safety and wellbeing are the first priority and that sitters are experienced in handling emergencies.

The rest of the menu

Alongside training and pet sitting, the site publishes advice pages – leash guidance to prevent injuries, living with multiple dogs, essential oils – plus a pet waste removal service. Operating hours are published as 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., seven days, with holiday and after-hours cover for a fee.
