About Gold Coast K9

What they offer

Gold Coast K9 has trained dogs since 1991 from a private twenty-acre facility, and its pages place the training facility in Moorpark. It serves police and military units, private families and organizations, with programs in protection, detection and pet obedience.

Pet obedience and behavior

The pet obedience program covers foundational commands such as sit, down, heel, place and a reliable recall, household manners for jumping and leash pulling, confidence building through exposure to new environments, and clear dog-to-handler communication. Behavior modification addresses reactivity, anxiety, impulse control and lack of structure, and owners are taught to keep the results.

Protection and working dogs

The company also trains and places home protection dogs, offers police K9 and detection programs, and provides maintenance and refresher training.
