About Gold Creek Kennel (GCK)
Labradors and gun dog training in Sandpoint
Gold Creek Kennel (GCK) is a Labrador Retriever breeder and dog training kennel at 1255 Meadowood Road in Sandpoint, with the motto "Family dogs. Working dogs. Gun dogs." It is run by co-owners Dennison Webb (operator) and Joy Jansen, PhD (customer relations), with Everett Webb as director of training and Hunter Webb as training and kennel assistant. The Webb family's experience with working Labradors and waterfowl hunting is described as multi-generational, and GCK began its breeding program in 2015.
Training services
GCK assesses and coaches dogs together with their owner or handler to build a customized training plan, from basic obedience to advanced gun dog training. One hour of one-on-one owner and handler training is $50 at the home facility or $75 at one of its regional training grounds. Options run from stand-alone workshops to scheduled, ongoing training. GCK prefers owners and handlers to be present, and offers boarding and training packages on a case-by-case basis.
Breeding
GCK breeds AKC registered Labrador Retrievers from field and hunt test pedigrees, with genetic and health testing, early scent introduction and early neurological stimulation programs, and a one-year health guarantee. A puppy deposit is $250.
